The game’s open beta began on September 4, 2018, for EA Access and Origin Access members and was available worldwide from September 6, 2018, through September 11, 2018. The game was released on November 9, 2018, for members from EA Access and Origin Access and on November 15, 2018, for Deluxe Early Enlister Edition owners. It was released worldwide on November 20, 2018.
Similar to Battlefield 1, Battlefield V’s main campaign is made up of a collection of different War Stories. These stories document the lesser-known conflicts of many soldiers in various locations during World War II. Similar to previous editions, collectibles are available in each War Story in the form of War Story Cards and Challenges. Unlike Battlefield 1, all characters speak in their native languages with subtitles available.
