Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4v1) horror game in which one player takes on the role of the Killer while the other four play as Survivors, trying to escape from the Killer to avoid being caught, tortured and murdered.
Survivors play in third person and have the advantage of better perception of the situation. The Killer plays in first person and is more focused on the prey.
With each encounter, the Survivors’ objective is to escape the Slaughter Territory without being caught by the Killer. This is harder than it seems – especially in a scenario that changes with each game.
Main highlights
• Survive together… or not – The Survivors can cooperate with each other or be selfish. The chance of survival varies depending on whether you work as a team or go it alone. Can you outwit the Killer and escape the Killing Grounds?
• Where am I? – Each level is procedurally generated, so you never know what to expect. Random spawn points mean you’ll never feel safe, as the world and its dangers change with each playthrough.
• A Feast for Assassins – Dead by Daylight draws inspiration from references from all corners of the horror world. As an Assassin, you can range from a ruthless Slasher to terrifying paranormal entities. Familiarize yourself with the Killing Grounds and master the use of each Assassin’s unique power to hunt, capture and sacrifice their victims.
• Going deeper and deeper – Each Killer and each Survivor have a complex progression system and several unlockable elements that can be customized according to your personal strategy. Experience, skill and understanding of the environment are essential to be able to hunt or outwit the Killer.
• Real people, real fear – The procedural levels and real human reactions to the pure horror make each game session a spectacle of unexpected situations. You never know what will happen. The ambience, music and chilling environments combine to create a terrifying experience. If you have time, you might even end up discovering what the mists hide.
