In an opening scene, Glamrock Freddy, Montgomery Gator, Roxanne Wolf and Glamrock Chica prepare for a musical performance. However, just as they are about to begin, Freddy fails and collapses.
Freddy then wakes up in “Safe Mode”, to the sound of Gregory, who was hiding inside him. Gregory tries to escape through the front doors before they close at midnight, but he arrives late by a few seconds. With Freddy’s help, Gregory enters Superstar Daycare, where he gets his first security pass. After being kicked out by the daycare manager for turning off the lights, Gregory hides in Freddy and they run to a charging station to avoid being caught by Vanny at 1am. Surprisingly, Freddy can’t see Vanny with his current set of eyes and mentions that there used to be a rabbit there, but not anymore.
Eventually, Vanessa catches Gregory and locks him in the lost and found, but he finds a screwdriver and escapes through the ventilation duct when Vanny appears. Gregory finds Freddy, who is damaged, and takes him to the Parts and Service Shop to be repaired. Unfortunately, the Daycare manager (like Lua) captures the body. Gregory heads alone to the Parts and Service Shop, avoiding endoskeletons along the way. There, he finds Vanessa talking to Freddy about Gregory and threatening to replace him by placing his carcass in a new Endo if he is actually helping Gregory. She doesn’t fix Freddy and continues her search for Gregory. Gregory repairs Freddy alone.
Depending on the player’s choices, the pair then proceed to defeat various animatronics, including DJ Music Man and two of Freddy’s three bandmates before the night ends at 6am. Gregory uses parts obtained from Freddy’s bandmates to upgrade him at the Parts and Service shop. Gregory can continue past 6am to defeat the rest of the band members and/or get other endings, but only one save point, located on the second floor of the Atrium by the elevators, will work.
