Players create a character capable of harnessing ancient magic who attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, starting as a fifth-year student in the 1890s. During Reveal Gameplay Trailer in March 2022, a newspaper can be seen from September 1, 1890. Players experience the life of the student as they “live the unwritten” and embark on a dangerous journey to discover a hidden truth of the wizarding world.</p >
In addition to the protagonist, there are fellow students such as Natsai Onai, a courageous Gryffindor who seeks justice, Sweeting Poppy, a gentle and beast-loving breath, and Sebastian Sallow, a charismatic inmate. The Villains include Ranrok (a goblin staging a rebellion against Wizardkind) and Victor Rookwood (a dark wizard operating in and around Hogsmeade).
The game is set in the lands of High Scotland, including Hogwarts and the vast land around it. Broom flying can be used to reach more distant locations, which include wizard villages like Hogsmeade. The developers also confirmed a fast travel system known as “Floo Flames”. The setting and other environments are highly detailed and complex, weather events affect the environment, and the four weather seasons are reflected in the landscape.
