Grand Chien, a nation rich in natural resources and with deep political divisions, is thrown into chaos when the elected president disappears and a paramilitary force known as “The Legion” takes control of the countryside. Now, the president’s family has pooled all its resources, including a deal with the powerful Adonis corporation, to hire a group of skilled mercenaries tasked with finding the president and restoring order to the country. In Jagged Alliance 3, choose from a large cast of mercenaries, each with their own personality, quirks, and backstories. Then go out and explore Grand Chien as you meet new people, earn money, expand your team, and ultimately make your own decisions that will decide the fate of the country.
Development
In October 2008, it was announced that the game had been delayed and the release date would be in the first quarter of 2010. However, in December 2009, it was reported that Akella had stopped developing the game. In March 2010, Shacknews released a news report that Jagged Alliance 3 was back in development. German publisher bitComposer game is now developing the game and the last mentioned release date was in 2011. As of July 14, 2023, the game has been completed by Haemimont Games and published by THQ Nordic.
