The world is in ruins. Only a remnant of humanity survives, hunted almost to extinction by otherworldly horrors. Most of humanity lives like rats in the rubble of devastated cities. A few survivors with the technology to open portals to fantastical, alternate worlds venture out every day in hopes of plundering resources and finding a way to defeat the invaders. They fight to conquer a base, rebuild and then take back what was lost.
