While most of the game takes place aboard the luxury cruiser Queen Zenobia, players also briefly visit other settings. A brief demo of the game was placed in Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, but Nintendo later released a free downloadable demo on the Nintendo eShop software for the 3DS. The demo was released a week before the game was released in Japan.
Unlike previous games in the series, Revelations features tracks in multiple languages, with the Japanese audio recorded first. As the English actors were not credited, some of their identities remain unknown.
Like the other games in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil Revelations brings an atmosphere of suspense, terror and a great story to be played and appreciated. Even though it was released in 2013, the game is very current (it has aged well). Even with the passage of time, the mechanics are well updated, providing a better experience for more modern players.
