History and Lore
The origins of Sun Haven and the books of Elios that the player can randomly find (in the Sun Haven Mines) provide some context about the beginning of SunHaven. When the dragon Elios landed on the cliff at Dragons Meet, he attracted followers – some of the first humans – who traveled there to hear Elios’ teachings and settled at the base of Dragons Meet, thus founding the city. Elios himself is said to have named the city “Haven of the Sun” or “Sun Haven”. According to the books, Elios’ Blessings are the reason for the city’s prosperity.
Despite having fallen on hard times when the player arrives, Sun Haven maintains its reputation as a destination for those who want to find themselves. , as well as a popular destination for tourists and travelers.
Locations
Sun Haven is divided into several areas. The main area is Sun Haven Town Center, where City Hall, Library, Museum, Hospital and many of the stores are located. Giuseppe/Tonya/Topi and Kara/Pod’s residences are also located here. Catherine and Lynn also have personal residences in the area.
To the west of the main town is the player’s Farm and beyond that is the West Forest. To the east, there is a canyon path that leads to the Solon Smithy, Sun Haven Mines, and a small quarry. South of town is a small river area with Wornhardt’s House and plenty of food to forage. The bridge in the southern area of town also provides access to the Beach and Peter’s Fishing Shop.
Across the bridge in the northeast are Anne’s Tavern and House. Additionally, there is one more screen that leads east to the East Forest and south to the Rabbit Orchard/Apiary (initially blocked by a Snaccoon, but only during spring). There are two roads on either side of City Hall that run north: the road on the right leads to a small area containing the Record Store, Pet Store, and Café; and the road on the left leads to the Barracks and beyond that to the North Forest. Located to the northwest is a more rural area that contains the Pet Store, the Bakery, as well as the homes of Lucia, Jun, Kitty, Liam, and Claude. To the north of this area is a grove of trees that contains a locked treasure chest and some thanks added by the developer. South of the rural area is a path leading to your farm (initially blocked by a Snaccoon on the side of your farm, but only during spring).
